Research Progress of AP2/ERF Transcription Factor Family in Important Crops

چکیده

Plants have the ability to show responses against various environmental stresses. It is one of necessities understand stress response mechanisms improve crops productivity and quality, under stressed condition. The AP2/ERF transcription factors are putative candidates that involved in regulation biotic abiotic stress. Most research has been conducted on functional analysis genes many plants; however, a comprehensive review required broad picture functionally characterized different plants. In this study, carried genome-wide studies gene family their evolutionary divergence plant species including mustard (Arabidopsis, brassica), cereal (rice, wheat, maize, sorghum), fiber (upland cotton island cotton). Review exhibited superfamily classified into four sub-families e.g. AP2, DREB, ERF, RAV solicit, which ERF was largest sub-family superfamily. Each subfamily further divided multiple groups sub-groups. Furthermore, each showed number paralogs showing correspondence genome size .e.g. higher possess copy number. change may be due either tandem duplication or whole during adaptation developed special feature Moreover, current study also surveyed expression AP/ERF with conclusion produced tolerance However resistance by studying same variables families

Research Progress of Transcription Factor KLF4 in Lung Cancer

Lung cancer is the leading cause of cancer mortality worldwide. While our understanding of the molecular events in the lung cancers are poor. In this report, we reviewed the current studies on a transcription factor named Krüppel-like Factor 4(KLF4) in lung cancer. Tissue studies showed that KLF4 expression was significantly decreased in non-small-cell lung cancer (NSCLC), while significant ove...

Impacts of a new transcription factor family

GCM proteins constitute a small transcription factor family with a DNA-binding domain exhibiting a novel fold composed of two subdomains rigidly held together by coordination of one of two structural zinc cations. In all known cases, GCM proteins exert the role of master regulators: the prototypical family member determines gliogenesis in Drosophila melanogaster, whereas mammalian GCM proteins ...
